| As a builder I am always looking for new and exciting concepts in home construction and sometimes that discovery comes in a very round about way. One of my sons had been doing some research on Geothermal Information and came across a company called ENERTIA. They have one of the most exciting concepts that I have seen in a long time. We called Enertia and asked to go on a site visit so that we could talk with a homeowner who was currently living in an Enertia home. They directed us to a home in New Hampshire near the Maine border. The home was An Enertia Arcadia style. There was a snowstorm that day and the temperature was 14 degrees outside, but inside the home was warm and cozy. We were able to take a tour of their beautiful home and ask them many questions. They said they were very satisfied with their new home. My wife and I were looking to build a new home and we knew that we had found the kind of home building concept that would allow us to build our dream home. After the site visit we searched for a lot with southern exposure found a great site, bought it and sold our home and ordered a kit. In December of 2006 we poured the foundation and now we are currently roofing the new house. |
